Meet Gabe Key
I am a professional photographer based in Apex, North Carolina, serving the Raleigh, Cary and Apex Triangle. I have captured pivotal moments for prominent figures, including Presidents Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, and Vice President Kamala Harris. My work with The East Carolinian let me cover events that engage and inspire, and I have traveled internationally to shoot for clients in England, France and Germany. I have photographed more than 400 clients, earned a North Carolina College Media Association award, and had my work published in Carolina Alumni Magazine and Pirate Media 1.

I picked up a camera at 15 and never put it down. Chasing the moment at local games and events grew into a career built entirely from scratch, and by 19 I had photographed three sitting United States Presidents. The work has put me in rooms most photographers never see. I have photographed Vice President Kamala Harris and her family, including her husband, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, along with Presidents Donald Trump, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton and North Carolina Governor Josh Stein. On the music side I have shot Ludacris, 21 Savage, Chief Keef and PartyNextDoor, plus festival stages and the ECU versus NC State game in Annapolis. My photo of Kamala Harris on the ECU campus earned a North Carolina College Media Association award while I led visual content as Visual Arts Editor of The East Carolinian.
My commercial work holds the same standard. I have created content for NordVPN, HelloFresh, and HBO Max, with images published in Carolina Alumni Magazine and Pirate Media 1. But photography is only one part of how I work. I also serve as Director of Business Development at Securtek, a residential and commercial security company serving thousands of clients across the Triangle, where I lead marketing, sales, and brand strategy. Building things from the ground up is what I do, and that same drive shows up in every session. I show up prepared, I read the room, and I perform under pressure, whether the subject is a President or your family in a field at golden hour. Every shoot is all-inclusive with edited digitals and a print release delivered in 2 to 3 weeks.
